Twitch has introduced Stories and a feed to discover new streamers to watch.

Nobody could have ever imagined that LinkedIn would introduce Stories before Twitch, but here we are. Twitch showed on Saturday that, starting later this year, its own users would be able to start recording Stories, over eight years after Instagram took the feature away from Snapchat. Twitch announced its plans to launch the temporary media format in October at its TwitchCon Paris event. The Twitch mobile app's Following tab will host Stories once they come, where they will be subject to the platform's automated security protocols and Community Guidelines. Additionally, creators will have the option to only allow those who follow them to see their Stories.

One of the other additions Twitch introduced on Saturday is Stories. The company announced that it would be launching a new Discovery Feed in the the fall season, which it says is going to make it easier for creators to expand their audiences even when they aren't streaming. The Discovery Feed will stream live and recorded content on the company's mobile app, just like Stories.

Twitch said that it was not their goal for viewers to spend hours watching a Clips feed because their platform focuses mainly on live, interactive channels. We made this investment in Clips to make it easier for others to find your channel and join you and your community when you stream. The Discovery Feed will first be tested in a small group of Twitch users before being made available to all Twitch users in late 2023. The company added that it was working on improving the platform's built-in clip editor. The solution will enable makers to export vertical videos directly to TikTok before the end of the next month.

Twitch announced on Saturday that it would also give streamers more control over when commercial breaks occur. Exactly before a commercial begins to play, a new conversation countdown meter will appear. When an exciting gameplay section or a discussion with their community is going to be interrupted by an advertising, streamers have the option of delaying it. The function was introduced after Twitch last month changed its mind about a proposed ad policy that would have limited the types of branded content that streamers could include.
