Just a few months ago, WhatsApp introduced emoji reactions with six options; however, since then it has expanded that number included the entire emoji alphabet. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "We're rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp," mentioning the 🏄♂️, 🍟, 👊 and 💯 as some of their favorites.
Emoji reactions are a wonderful way to keep messages short and to quickly tell the sender of a joke if you found it funny (or not). Long-press on a message to receive a complete list of available emojis, then tap the Plus button to the right to use any of them as a reaction. Select the one you want, and it should then appear below a message in the normal way.
The update makes WhatsApp operate exactly like Messenger on mobile devices in terms of emoji reactions. Expanded emoji and animated reactions also were just introduced by Telegram, but you must register for its new $5/month premium subscription. Although the new WhatsApp function is already available, it can take a few days before it reach your area.
